Pilates

If you want to reshape, re balance and realign then Pilates is for you. This form of exercise is non-impact, with the majority of the positions carried out on a mat. You will be taught the Pilates Technique and will then learn to master the breathing and muscle work skills. The result will be a toned and reshaped figure. Each position is explained in detail and you will be encouraged to work at your own personal level.Pilates focuses on building your body’s core strength and improving your posture through a series of low repetition, low impact stretching and conditioning exercises. When we talk about using core muscles we are referring to your back, abdominal and pelvic muscles. Through Pilates, you will be able to develop these muscles in supporting your body and at the same time toning your stomach and thigh muscles. The classes begin with the basic understanding of contracting the correct muscles and each exercise can develop further as you gain more understanding and core strength. We finish class with a short relaxation.
